Removing Rubber Floor Tiles

I need to remove some rubber floor tile from my kitchen. The only problems is that it has taken me 30 minutes and a lot of banging to lift just two tiles can anybody help.

What are they stuck on with?

I removed some tiles from my kitchen floor and I used a heat gun to soften the adhesive first. Worked a treat!

A wallpaper scraper thingy and a hammer worked well for me! Something sharp and flat should do the job nicely.
