Removing section of wall

Hi

So as part of getting a new door I realised that the main electric supply comes into my house via the door frame. The electric board agree to move it and came to do so. However, they want to drill through the wall but cannot see where they would access indoors. They have asked for me to move a section of the wall first. My question is how is best to do this? I have included some pictures to show the area. It is just board so would be relatively easy to remove but what are my options in terms of best way to do it and make 'good' again? It is the section above the fuse box etc.

By some moderately violent means, remove much of the plasterboard triangle between the meter cupboard and the sloping ceiling.
Afterwards, get a new piece of plasterboard, cut to the same shape, and screw in place to the studwork like the old piece was. Then wait until you're getting something else plastered, and ask the plasterer to do that as well. Then paint, using the bit of left over paint of the right colour that you saved when the hall was decorated.

You will probably need to remove the entire boxing including the frame , electric company won't be happy working around it and as a result of the move the framing may be unsuitably positioned.
