Hi,

I was looking some advice - attempting to remove a tap handle but cannot locate any screw to do so. The Hot and Cold indicators on the tap seem fixed therefore haven't a clue as to what to do to get this off.

I have attached a picture, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm only guessing really, whilst we wait for someone who definately know, but it looks like the stem of the valve / tap is one piece, the handles / spokes look like they thread into the sides of the stem.

The cap indicator doesn't screw off? how about a grub screw at the back of it?

Do you know the make of the tap?

Hard to see exactly but many have a coin sized cap that unscrews. look for a join a couple of mm down from the top.

looks like some sort of sheath / jacket half way down (seam visible on tap body, does that unscrew or come away at all? If so, perhaps that it hiding a grub screw.

I have an identical tap (bar grub screw) on the sink and that chrome case does need to come away to expose the guts. I'm hoping one of the 4 arms screw off as mentioned.

I think..... you whip the 4 arms off, pull the 'sheath' up and then you can expose the areas you wish to carry out work on.

Final question regarding this, once the 4 spindles are off how do I remove the stem from the valve?
