Hi Guys,

Plasterer is calling around on monday and I have loads to do, including trying to get woodchip off.

Question is does it matter if there are small bits of wallpaper left on the wall prior to a skim, Im talking 5p piece size at most and pretty solidly stuck? and not large in number, also its only the backing paper, not the vinyl or anything, Its driving me mad trying to get them all off

thanks
Andy

Sorry to say you have got to get every little bit of paper off the wall or the plasterer will refuse to do it or charge you more for removing it. If he says he can plaster over it get another plasterer.....

It’s all got to come off as roy says or the plaster will blister over the paper & even the smallest bit will cause a bubble; very annoying when you’ve not spotted small bits of paper still stuck to a buff/neutral coloured emulsioned wall before you started!

Bugger, Back to the stripper then!!, some of this wall paper must have been put on in 1900!!
