renault megane 1.4 rt "s" reg

this car is a 1998 model and has a 1.4 energy engine with a single point injection carb
i have repaced plugs,coil,dist cap and rotor arm and a second hand carb but it still wont start.
i have checked the fuel pump and fuel fillter and they seem ok

has this engine got a temperature sensor to allow the ecu to regulate the fuel going into the carb?
is the fuel line pressurised?
could it be too much air?
please help

Did you find the TDC sensor? was it in the same place?

ive tried just about all i can and yes thanx checked all posts in renault but they do very little for megane 1 found and renewed tdc to no avail
all i can think of now is fuel starvation
