Renault Meganne Scenic Fuel Cut Off Switch?

After doing a head gasket on a nasty meganne scenic I've been given I have been having trouble starting it, the deisel pump etc had been removed.

I tried starting it and was just cranking so I looked up on autodata and notcied a fuel cut switch which I pressed...now i'm thinking I may have de activated it and the initial problem was air in the system...i'm trying to bleed it now and nothing is coming out the bleed valve. Any ideas how to de activate the cut out switch?

if its been activated you will feel a positive click as its pressed to reset it,i dont think its your problem though as they are usually very reliable and only get activated after a heavy impact,you can usually give it a small tap with a screwdriver to get it to operate and then feel the click as it resets

I pressed it thinking that was the problem and felt a definate click...maybe I just re-set it...car is not accident damaged or anything

is it an electric or mechanical fuel pump on that?
