upload_2020-4-17_19-54-42.jpeg upload_2020-4-17_19-53-50.jpeg Hi everyone. Looking to tidy up around new rear upvc door and french doors.
Just looking for thoughts really. I’ve attached pictures.
Right picture -The single door I’m undecided as the gap is so small. I seen about taking the surface of a bit and feather ii in? Or should I just come right back to the edge of the wall and do the full reveal over again? Is this even possible to do neatly? Probably just do it smooth then.

Left picture-The french doors again is a bit of a small gap. Should I just take the surface off to about 100mm?

Thank you for any feedback it is appreciated.

How large are the elevations? its going to look patchy, i would consider hacking the lot off and redoing if the elevations not too large.

It’s pretty big. 1920 semi detached. It’s the back side and has a lot of patching anyway.
One day it will all come off but I have a. It more destruction to do like replace the soil stack.
The doors are in a poorly made corrugated plastic sheet sloping lean to at the moment so sheltered. I want to remove that and need the doors to be weather tight and appearance is not top priority at the moment. Lick of matching paint will be good for now.

Definetely, sometimes patching up roughcast, render, or any other surface, can make things look worse. I agree with what Alastair says.

Can you render straight on to that foam between the door and wall? Or does it need a filler of some sort?
I have the similar on a window.

Block it out with sand and cement then give it another coat if its deep, otherwise it will slump and crack.
