render or plaster a kitchen

Hi,

Ive taken the kitchen walls back to the bricks and am wondering weither to hardwall or render (cement) the wall before a final multi-finish plaster skim.

What should i do?

Hi,
Either would do for me,but cement render is more robust.

For outside walls use cement render with a damp proofer added.

What do you think will be cheeper?

Probably cement render in the long run.
