Can someone here explain the proper procedure for rendering / wet dashing an external wall,
I have a bit of an idea but would like to be told from the experts here.

I know you have to put a scratch coat on first, leave it to dry, that's were i get lost.
The wall will have an 18 inch smooth plinth at the bottom of the wall is it better to use lengths of lath which will be removed before you start to dash the rest of the wall or use stainless steel stop ends which will be nailed to the wall and left in place.
