Renewing Taps on a Sink

Hi

I am going to fit a new set of taps for a bathroom sink , my sister has a combi Boiler , would I need to turn of the Boiler as I will be turning off the cold water mains as there is no valves on the H n C feed to the sink .

I was just thinking that if I didn't , would the boiler fire up when I drain the taps off ! .

Turn the boiler off. Fit isolation valves to hot and cold and put water back on and the boiler too. You can now make tea or coffee ,flush the loo as many times as you like ,and put the central heating on if your cold !!!!!
