Renualt Kangoo Van heater switch problem

I have a 2002 Renault Kangoo Van 1.9cd and the fan heater switch will only work in it's fastest position. Is it a straight forward switch replacement (is it easy to replace?) or could it be something more sinister.

It needs a new resister. Somewhere between the heater switch and the heater is the rheostat which is a resister, when on setting 1, 2 or 3 the feed goes through the resister which slows the fan as appropriate depending on the setting, when its on 4 its a direct feed meaning the fan gets a full 12V and runs at full pelt. Hence its the resister that needs replacing, sorry not sure exctly where it is in a Kangoo, in a Megane its behind the panel bellow the glovebox.
