Metal-skinned front door, originally white, with a small top glazed area. About ten years ago I took it off, cleaned, spray primed then top coated with dark green spray paint. It's recently started to show a few small chips back to the white, particularly where dangling keys bash into the paint etc. Would brush (or roller) paint be thicker and more scuff resistant?

Any tips on paint choice, preparation, undercoat etc. Zinnser allcoat gloss looks quite good to me https://www.thepaintshed.com/amfile/file/download/file/294/product/12237/

The post box, handle and other door furniture are black, easily removed, and sort of "olde" looking, so I was going to use Hammerite black for those parts (I already have that paint in for another project).
