hi all,
Following some building works and moving of the main drain to a new location, I now have the remains of an approximately 6inch thick concrete "base" (about 2m each side) with a rough 1m gap down the middle where the builders took out the old drain, in front of my new French doors.
Can anyone see any problems with just laying down new concrete to match up to the old, levelling the whole lot off a bit (it was quite badly done originally) and then putting down paving slabs on top?
The concrete originally had decking on it, but has quite a significant slope (about 1 in 10), rather more slope than really needed!!
Advice greatfully appreciated.
Iain
