Hi,
Can anyone please advise me the best method to repair an external wood window frame stanchion that has a splintered section missing. I looks as though a section of the frame has been pulled off at some point and then the uneven remnant just pained over.
I have attached a picture of the area requiring repair below.
The section needing repair is about 8 inches long and the window to the right of the repair opens.
My first thought was to open the window to the right and place a flat edge at 90 degrees to the front view then fill the section with Toupret Murex. Then, try to remove the flat edge with minimal disturbance to the edge, however, I am not sure if this is the best method so any suggestions most appreciated.
