Repair to Wooden Table

I've got a wooden table with three legs (like the base of a Christmas tree). One of the legs has broken off. Can someone tell me what fixings to use in order to put it back in place? Thanks.

Side stitch a few six inch nails allowing them to go through the top of the table where you can clench them over.
Should do the trick.
