Hello

In my hall way there is a slight hole where a picture hook / nail has been put in the wall but come away and taken some of the plaster with it.

The hole is only 1cm deep at its deepest and no bigger that a 1pence coin in size. This was whilst owned by the previous owner. Apart from that the wall is fine.

I have limited experience in these things and I was wondering what was solution to filling in this small hole? What is the correct product I should use to fill this in?

Many thanks

Just use an ordinary decorator’s filler. Build up the depth in several layers to avoid cracking; fill it proud & then rub down & blend in using a block of wood & some sandpaper.

you can buy ready mixed filler.as you have limited d.i.y skills.but buy the tub rather than tube.this will save you mixing with water as it can become to runny or too stiff simon the builder

Just brush it clean with a small wet paintbrush so that you remove the dust before filling. You may have to fill it once, let it set and then fill it again to take up any shrinkage

Any cheap Polyfilla type tub will do it. When it's dry sand it back with sandpaper and a sanding block.

Thanks again guys - really appreciateteh help - especially you Joe - you have answered every question i have posted - very kind of you
