we have a small ashphalted balcony on our flat. and my missus says "lets av a b-b-q, okay i says, put a nice thick tile on the ashphalt floor, put two of those disposable b-b-q things on them, oh what a lovely time ...chicken sausages chops. couple of cans of the amber nectar....lubbly jubbly.
this morning the tile has sunk into the ashphalt and i had to get a shovel to lever it up  , not very pretty underneath. QUESTION: can i get my trusty blow torch out, heat it up and spread the ashphalt with a trowel, or is there a smarter way to do it.

You can but it might be best to get some more bitumen to cover it 100%, you may not have enough otherwise. Although there's plenty of roof repair products out there, they also do cold pour bitumen

thanks very much masona, will have a look next time i'm in one of the sheds.
