A boiler engineer has gouged some marks into the cork floor when moving a washing machine and I'm looking for the best way to repair them.
Floor is 30cm2 raw cork tiles glued to a concrete subfloor and finished with Osmo Polyx floor wax/oil.
1) Sand down the surrounded area and re-oil - not keen on this as a couple of the gouges might be a couple of mm deep so the sanding would be quite drastic.
2) Fill the gouges and re-oil - what would I fill it with, standard wood filler? Guess I could get a mix of shades to match the mottled pattern of cork but it's not going to look perfect.
3) Some get some tile shavings from a spare tile, fill the gouges with that and glue and then re-oil.
4) Lift the tiles and replace - really don't want to be doing this.
Any suggestions?
