i have just bought a set of three (tri fold or one bifold and one not) doors that typically came from a Victorian terrace and divided the front and back room
They were already strippped and hung before sale, and seem to be in vgc apart from some minor damage
I need to examine them when I can lay them out properly but wondered if they need minor repair would it make sense to try to use an old door of similar age as a source for the wood?
Would strippers keep bits of furniture that fell apart on stripping? Or is it easier to just buy a close colour match stripped door and cut it up?
Or is any slight damage just "patina"
