The floors in two bedrooms, a bathroom, the kitchen and dinign room have weak places in them when you walk on it.

Do I need to tear out the old floor or just put the new floor down on top of it and then replace the carpet and tile?

Thanks

realy dont know much about mobile homes

but things you need to keep in mind is the wood possibly decaying from underneath [needs protecting]you will need to know if its a simple task of replacing ply for ply!!!!!
I SUSPECT the ply will go under various walls cabinates ect and supports will be few and far between realy awkward to get to
now i dont know the answer but think you need to look underneath and see if you can see the structure
of course it could be constructed like a normalish house

if you decide to board on top remember doors and cabinates may no function properly because the extra layer is in the way

I have not tried this myself, but have read about it on other sites.
A caravan floor is a sandwich of ply and expanded foam of some type.
They usually get spongy in doorways etc. One solution is to reinject the offending area with expanding foam.
Do a search on http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk
Hope this helps
