Hi all, i need to repair a couple of very fine hairline cracks that are visible on a small wall that has just been skimmed (i should have taken it all down and drylined but i didnt) the skim was over the original plaster which had the same crack in it, i have read that the crack needs digging out deep and filling with several layers of 'plaster patching compound' then sanding etc.
Does this sound correct? and will it actually stop the crack from permanently reappearing?
Also is there a difference between drywall joint compound and the 'plaster patching compound?' if yes, which makes have any of you had good experiences with? also any tips?
Thanks. Ryan
