Hi all,

I have next to zero DIY experience and looking for some advice on how to repair this wall. See attached photos.

This wall was initially damaged due to damp build up from outside. We had a conservatory that was knocked down and the remaining concrete meant that it was way too near the damp course proof causing water damage when it rained.

Having now replaced the concrete base with a lower patio, this has resolved the damp issue and the wall appears to have dried out. After putting a sander to it, the plaster has started to come off the wall.

Should I chizzle all the weakened plaster out completely and then replaster it or what is best course of action? Just to note where the hole is at the bottom, this use to be a cat flap that was bricked in from the outside and then plastered from inside years ago.

Dig out loose. Vaccum out.

The small amount you have you could fill with toupret standard powdered filler. One 2kg box
