Hi,
In my kitchen I have a 2 gang switch that controls 2 sets of lights. One gang is 2 way but I don't use the other switch. Can I replace the two gang switch with a simple one without the 2 way? In particular I want to put a zigbee 2 gang switch to control the two sets of lights.

I am sure you can, but since wires have clearly pulled out, to give a wire by wire how it's done, not so easy

the two major methods are shown, the later more popular as no joint in back box.

Energenie don't require a neutral, but it must have dimmable bulbs fitted of at least 5 watt. TP-Link also does not require a neutral, but uses batteries, so no lower current limit or even voltage, they will work switching a PIR controlled lamp.

Do you mean the gray cable? I don't know from where it has been pulled out. I guess it was on L1 where there seems to be a screw missing
I beleive the most likely location is with the blue wire

To convert that to 1 way: First check the other switch of the 2 way only has matching black, grey and brown wires.
Back at this switch: disconnect (X) the grey , black and the brown in the same cable, make them tidy and safe (I like to connect them all to earth) - leaving the blue and its associated brown, move the brown to 'COM' or 'C' (where the black is).

You will need to check for the correct browns.

AND you also have an earth wire pulled out.
