Hi All
I keep on having minor trouble with my Baxi system boiler which feels like it is due a replacement. I’ve changed the gas value but it struggles with modulation, particularly when heating the hot water tank and running a reduced number of rads through the hive trv system which results in constantly cycling.
It also has an issue with kettling when running at hotter temperatures despite changing the heat exchanger so I can’t run the heating at a high temp.
Anyway, I was thinking of replacing it on a like for like basis with a newer model equivalent. But the dimensions of the newer equivalent model (Baxi 800 series). Look smaller in every respect. Would all of the gas and water fittings need to be altered?
As a follow up, would I be better getting a lower KW rated model to help with the cycling issue? Due to the hive system it is rare that we have more than a handful of rads on at any given time.
Thanks a lot!
