I want to replace a first floor dormer double window approx width 1280mm x height 740mm.

One side is fixed the other opens. Both have four panes. Access from outside is difficult because of a sloping roof. I want to avoid ladders and scaffolding.

With the window out I can lean out and reach all around the outside of the frame.

Is it possible to install a window from the inside?

Yes it is, obviously the window has to be smaller than the interan dimensions of the opening.

Its a bit hairy holding the sash out of the frame in the open position whilst getting a screw top and bot in the friction stays.

A window fitter would prob do it, but for H and S reasons prob should not.
