I have a mira sprint shower that has given up heating water.
Its a few years old.
So want to replace it like for like.

In the past I've done this with a mira sport and even on the newer model Mira sport had kept all the screw holes etc in the same place so it was a simple slot in job.

Now it looks like they've gone all 'multifit' and the screw holes are in completely different places. Ideally I'd rather not drill new holes.

Any ideas if there are any mira models that will just slot in? Mira dont seem to know themselves!

Thanks

ANother option I have is to buy a 2nd hand mira shower (not quite the same model) and try to use the heater tank on existing shower.
However, current shower is 8.5kw and the 2nd hand one I have the option on is 9.8kw.

Will the 9.8kw tank work with the existing controller etc?

I had a Redring Expressions and replaced that with their Revive Plus multi fit, it went straight in.

Do you deffinitely know the new Mira has different screw locations?. Can you buy one and take it back for refund if not?.

I wouldn't be messing about with 2nd hand bits personally.

Why not just buy a replacement heater tank from a spares supplier?

An uprated one will only work if your electrical supply is rated for it - cable the correct size and fuse/breaker in your consumer unit also the correct size
