Hi

After some advice on replacing my wooden frame, Perspex window in my concrete prefab garage with a UPVC unit. I plan to remove the entire window and its timber frame so all I am left with is the concrete panel edges. The end game for this garage is to get as close to this conversion as possible https://www.avforums.com/threads/detached-sectional-garage-conversion.2108717/

How do I attach the UPVC window/frame to the concrete once I've removed the existing window and timber frame? I understand with a UPVC window you would usually use masonry screws/fixings to attach the frame to the brickwork, however as the prefab garage panels are quite thin I'm not sure if I can use that approach.

Additionally you can see from the pictures that it looks like one of the vertical sides of the frame is also supporting a ceiling joist at one end. Therefore I assume that when I remove the existing window I will need to support the joists. But when I put the new UPVC window in place this should be able to take over the role that the timber frame performed?
