I've got a lot of tiles in the kitchen, toilet and shower which are all of a colour not to my taste. Now wondering around Q&B today I saw 'tile paint'. Has anyone any experience with this kind of paint? I'd assuemd I would have to hack off all the old tiles, possibly repair the wall/plaster & then re-tiles - especially in the kitchen & bathroom/shower area.
So, Is tile paint a reasonable solution?

I have tried this in my bathroom, if this is a temp fix then it works fine an few coates and painted with Kitchen and Bathroom paint, but you can just put new tiles on old ones

I would replace the tiles rather than paint.
In the shower area , old tiles are the best surface you can tile on. Nice and smooth. It also provides an additional skin or seal for the walls and the bottom of the shower tray.
In the other areas such as the kitchen it depends whether you can lay on top off without the edges showing. That may look a bit naf.

If you do decide to tile and you have a lot to do Invest in a small 500 W tile cutter from screwfix. Well worth the investment. As well as wall tiles cuts floor tiles as well.
