Replacement alarm panel?

Hi all, I've bought a house which has a wired alarm fitted with panic button, pirs around the house, door connectors and external sirens/alarm boxes.

I'm looking to replace the control panel/key panel, it's huge and old.

Are they interchangeable?

Am I right in thinking what I've photographed is just the keyboard and the control panel is a big white box under my stairs? Attached pic.

What system would you recommend?

Euromini or premier 24 ....euromini probably better for a beginner...
