I am looking to replace an upstairs bedroom window in a house that I will be letting out to students.
I understand that the replacement uPVC window (which measures 910mm wide by 1215mm high) needs to offer a means of escape.
To match the other windows this window needs to be split equally in half horizontally with the upper pane fixed and the lower pane being a top opener.
Therefore the opening part of the window will be roughly 910mm wide by 607mm high. Does anyone know if this acceptable in terms of fire/building regs?
Many thanks in advance.
Hoofer.
