Just replaced a 12 year old CH pump with a Trident digital unit which, supposedly, has no less than 11 intelligent control modes! The pump seems to have 3 modes; fixed speed, constant pressure & proportional pressure & each mode has 3 speed controls but I've no idea which to select for optimum operation & the "Chinglish" instruction manual doesn't really give any guidance on making a choice. I'm a bit out of date with this technology, having previously only ever fitted pumps that have a simple speed selector switch on the front so am somewhat confused as to which mode/speed to select, can anyone help or direct me to an article that explains how to make the best/correct mode?

If you go looking at say the Grundfos pump site, they have numerous how to etc about setting up their variable pumps, the process will be the same.

Select fixed speed 2 which should be OK for most systems, if there is a Auto function, keep away from it.
Can you post any installation manual for your particular pump?
