Replacement cistern button?

I've got a cistern with a button push down flush mechanism. The button is a circle split striaght down the middle into two for a long and short flush. Unfortunately my two year old pulled off one button and flushed it down the pan. Anybody know where I can buy another button? Or a new pair.

I looked in my local diy stores and they don't do the straight split buttons anymore, they've got all sorts of fancy designs but no straight ones.

Sorry, can't send pic, no digital camera.

Its just circular, with each button half a circle in shape. The missing button sits on a white plastic stick thats currently exposed.
