replacement cooker hood

I have one of these extractors with a pull out door which switches the fan and light on. It has a paper filter which get saturated with grease in a few days.

Is there any extractor which works on the same priciple but uses washable stainless steel filters?

Not heard of them in household appliances, the only one I've seen are in my company canteen which is a industrial model. Is there any way you can vent it to outside via ducting ? I live in a bungalow and vented mine straight to the ceiling via the loft.
