I'm buying a second floor flat which has a Potterton Powermax HE which is 20 yeas old, although the seller says it was recently serviced. After reading all the negative reviews I'm thinking this will probably be the first job to replace it. But what would be a good alternative and what kind of cost should I budget? Can I go with a combi or would I also need a water pump as it's second floor? I'm just trying to budget now at this point.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
