Replacement for Ideal Minimiser SE 60

Which direct replacement would any of you suggest for my Ideal Minimiser SE 60?
I've been told a Worcester Bosch RI 24KW would be the best.

Why do you want to fit a more powerful boiler?

Its probably already overpowered!

The SE 60 is rated at 18kw. If there have been no extensions and extra rads fitted to your system then the 18ri will do the job nicely.
I wouldn't presume that its overpowered until I knew the size of your system.

Thanks both. What questions do you need answering to determine whether or not it's already over powered and therefore which boiler would suffice. Am I correct in thinking whichever size boiler I need the Worcester make is a good one?

Only Worcester installers like them and that's because the cannot fit anything else in case they don't meet their targets for the year!

I know a lot of independants that fit them by choice. As for reliability, if the system is clean and the boiler correctly installed there is no problem with the RI. I know of many that are 4yrs or more and haven't missed a beat.
