I have a sealed system. I noticed that the last time that I had to introduce fluid (Sentinel) into the system, there was a seepage from the spindle of the ball valve on the system side of the filling loop. This might well last for years before it becomes anything more than a seep.
But, planning ahead....I presume that I will need only to drain away a few cupfuls of the water from the system before I can unscrew the NRV and replace it. As it is at the highest point of the system, I presume that I need drop the water level 1cm and vent off the air pressure in the red tank.
Once I have replaced the valve, I connect up the filling loop and carefully fill the system until the pressure gauge reads about 1,5 bar
I do not want to have to introduce any more air into the system that I need to. We spend so much time chasing it down and bleeding it off.
Thanks in advance for any help.
