I’ve had one of these for several years.

I’ve noticed that it is now becoming intermittent. It has reported a fault where there isn’t one. It then gave it the all clear without any intervention from me.

Can someone please recommend a replacement. Thanks.

Plenty available, Martindale possibly invented 1st ever. Branded as oppose to non branded would be my choice, so Martindale, Kewtech, Fluke, Megger, Di-log, socket and see (part of kewtech now) et al.

There is a problem the socket tester with loop is designed for radials, and we use ring finals, and those without loop don't really test the socket well enough.

The RCD test does the same as pressing the button on the RCD its self, so a bit pointless.

They without loop will show reversed line and neutral so are useful in the likes of caravans where the supply is often changed.

I agree with @CBW there are loads on the market, in spite of what I have said I would still select one with loop test. But electricians are unlikely to use them, so they are unlikely to know which are good.

I had a cheaper and nastier version of the above years ago which didn't even have a squealer on it but bought a Kewtech 107 which is as described above. Has a basic loop test function and can also pick up swapped L/N:
