Hi,

I am replacing 3 ceiling lights in the kitchen with new pendants. The existing rose has 2 cables for the first 2 lights and 1 cable for the last light.

1st pic below is existing rose and 2nd is the new pendant.

I've read this page https://www.diynot.com/wiki/Electrics:Lighting-Rose in the Wiki but the example has 3 cables so wasn't quite sure.

Is it correct that the 2 brown wires go in the L on the new terminal block and the 2 blue in the N?

Thanks for any help!

Assuming the existing wiring works all lights ok ,then yes replicate the existing wiring into your new fittings. So the browns go into L ,blues into N and earth conductors into earth terminal.

You have switched live and neutral in and out of the first two fittings and just in to the last. Either fed from a JB or looped in at switch system.
