Replacing a Burglar Alarm Battery

I need to replace the battery on the control box of my burglar alarm.
It is an Optima G3.
I did have a maintainance contract, but I found the engineer to be unreliable.
Could the engineer have set a code?
Can it be by passed?

There will be an engineers code. However, if you really need to change the battery, you should be able to open the panel (ignore the tamper for the moment), swap the battery for the new one, close the panel and reset the tamper (by entering your code...).
