I have a red quarry - tiled floor under the carpet in my lounge. I want to replace floor this as it is very old, and condensation forms under the carpet. What is the best way to do this so that the condensation problem is solved?

hi, i had the same problem, you need to dig down 150mm to the ash, roughly level it off, then use 1200 gauge damp proof membrane, then 100mm insulation, then either concrete or 50mm screed. (concrete if you are good with a trrowel)
