Replacing an Aquadial combi care filter... Help!

Hi guys, complete amateur here, my aquadial combi care filter has never been replaced in 5years n has now got a hole in the side. I've brought a replacement filter. How easy are they to do yourself? N how do I do it? View media item 87572
Obviously turn the mains stop cock off as seen in pic. Do I have to drain the hot water tank before unscrewing the filter and replacing?

Thx for the link to the other thread denso13 kinda helps but some clarification on my system would help. Got brave today n went to make an attempt at it .
Turned off mains stop cock opened h&c taps slight dribble n nothing. Does the hot water tank (mega flow) not need to empty? View media item 87572 View media item 89941As you can see from the pic the pipe set up. Just concerned if I start work removing the aquadial the hot water tank water will flow back if this likely or is it one way?

Any advice great fully received
