Remove old bath waste and cut the copper waste pipe straight so that you can fit straight compression coupler.
1.fit new bath combo waste
2.fit new bath plastic trap
3.use small waste pipe to connect the trap and old copper waste
Hmm, thanks. I only went to the trouble of accessing the outlet because Zampa said it was quite an easy job to replace the plughole once I had access under the bath. But what you describe doesn't sound easy at all. Maybe a new bath and a plumber to fit it are the order of the day.
Lunat is bang on here...get a new chrome waste (with overflow connection) from MacAlpine, a plastic bath bottle trap and renew the copper waste to outside if you can.....its the only satisfactory way.
It also means you can clean out the waste trap, if it becomes necessary.
