Hi I replacing a freestanding cooker with a single oven & hob Can I connect them to the same power point as the old cooker oven is 2.3kw & hob is 5,3kw

Hi old cooker is 9.8-10.7Kw with new heat restant cable for cookers
if this helps and the socket runs of 30amps

It all depends. Do you know what rating your old cooker was (in kW), plus the size of the cable supplying the outlet and the size of the fuse/mcb for that circuit??

Your new oven will draw 10A and the hob 14A (allowing for diversity) - hence 24A in total, so your cable will need to be 4mm minimum on a 32A mcb.

If your old cooker was supplied off the kitchen circuit/ring, you cannot connect your two new appliances to this. The oven could be connected on its own, but NOT the hob, it's too big - a new supply cable would be required

Old cooker is on it's own box connected to 30amp fuse & other fuse is 30amp ring/mains with 4 sockets on it
