We have a Creda Eoropa Solar Plus Model 48141, (circa 1995) and the oven’s fan has stopped rotating. Of late there has been a delay in its starting after the oven has been switched on but yesterday it stopped in the middle of cooking the Sunday lunch. The heating element continues to generate heat it just that it doesn’t circulate the energy and presumably it’s less efficient.

I can get a ‘universal’ replacement unit on line for £20. The question is with my particular make and model can this be fitted without removing the oven from the housing.

It’s a very heavy double oven (I don’t relish the prospect of moving it unless it’s necessary).

I have noticed, from the inside of the oven, there is a panel fixed with four screws. It holds the heating element, the fan unit, thermostat and lamp. I don’t want to remove this to investigate in case I disturb something that’s only accessible from the back.

I have seen online video replacement demos but they are for rear access replacements.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Benny.

Hi,
Just an update.

Having decided to give it go, I have removed the panel in question and managed to gain access to the fan motor and removed it.

Just ordered a replacement.

Thanks,

Benny.

Just an update.
Got the replacement today (£25), fitting was easy. The only issue was the fixing screws. You have to use the old one's (none provided) and they had to be cut to length as the profile of the replacement was slightly different to the old one.

Regards,

Benny.
