Hi

Bit embarrassed about this but have ceiling light in porch with four holders and halogen bulbs. One of the bulbs has popped and I just can't figure out a way of removing it. I don't know if it's bayonet or screw on but I've tried pushing and twisting with no joy so probably screw on. Thing is you can't get any purchase on it to unscrew.

Sorry to be so thick but a bit non plussed!

Thanks

Do you know if they are extra-low voltage (12V) ?
They will just pull out if they are.
If they are mains halogens then they will twist out like a bayonet lamp.
There are suction caps available to assist in doing this.(or you could use any such suction type cap)

If its a GU10 then the trick is not to push at all when you turn.

A suction cup as Ricicle suggested or dob a bit of gaffer tape on the lamp to give you a wee handle to twist with.

Mind you, if its been damp then the contacts may be corroded...
