Problem - bouncy floorboards

Today I lifted some carpet to expose the floorboards. I noticed that many floorboard had not been fixed down properly or not at all.

I also lifted a board to look along the joist ends. Every end of joist is floating. The walls are stone and mortar, many years old. The mortar has fallen away around each joist end and is very crumbly.

How can I fix this?

My first thought was to replace the whole floor and fix a wall plate to the wall using studs and resin but in places the wall may not take a fixing. What centers should they be at?

The room is roughly 4.2 x 3.9. The joists run the 3.9 span. I know to use 195 x 50 timber already at 400mm centers.

Any suggestions, ideas, or latest regs please??

I had the same problem in the living room. I tightly stacked blocks under the joists to rid the play. It worked, never had a problem since. Its been 5 years
