hi all,

I'm a newbie here and a newbie at DIY so apologies if this is a silly question :)

I have just bought a house with my fiance and currently the kitcken is looking a bit drab. Needs new sink and kitchen tops. the cupboards aren't too bad at all.

What is involved in just removing your typical kitchen surface tops and replacing??

Any advice welcomed :)

a nice easy job for you in the new year disconnect the all your plumbing ( gas safe engineer if you have a gas hob) undo all the screws underneath and maybe conti blocks. if its been tiled onto cut away the silicone and grout at bottom and gently ease the worktop out being careful not to damage tiling. then either use existing as a template if your not confident about measuring cuttin and scribing the new one. then replace and screw and seal where it was before. if your new to diy i would go for jointing strips rather than doing it properly with a router

Was needing advice on the same job myself. Make sure you post some before and after pics and let us know how you get on mate. :D
