i would be gratefull if any one could give some advice on the following,
we have moved into a new home and have taken up the old carpets upstairs out, it left us with floorboards in good nick, the house is only 8 yrs old so they are new boards, after some sanding and filling nail holes and more sanding we applied a stain and varnish in walnut, the result is they look very good.
we now wonder if we can take up the laminate flooring downstairs which is on concrete and replace with floorboards and do the same as upstairs, a few people have told us you cant lay floorboards onto concrete as they are not treated.
so im wondering if this can be done if so how?
theres no problem with the floor being raised 30-50 mm as i can we hang the doors.
thanks
