Old style light has been taken down showing these wires

Assuming that it's neutral, Live and switches (room has two switches to turn light on/off)

Have connected new light up and all works (yippee!) But the switches don't control the light anymore any advice?

The light only has 2 sections to put wires in (neutral and live) I feel like something needs to come from the third section that seems to be switches to the light maybe? Do I connect another piece of wire from the third to the neutral on the light?

Thank you :)

The lamp should connect to Neutral and Switched-Live. Sounds like you have it conected to Neutral and Permanent-Live.

Can't see colours. Are they red or brown?
Anyway
Brown ( permanent live) goes from light to switch then comes then back as a blue to light.
This is the switch wire. Should have a red sleeve on it to indicate it's a live wire.
So switch wire is the wrong colour
People don't understand this and go by the colour and this is where the fun starts.

Please don't electrocute yourself.

If you don't understand get an electrician.
