I want to use my loft for my sons scalextric but having bought T&G boards and had a good look up there the insulation is the microfibre stuff laid on what I think is the nasty glass stuff.

Its not possible to stay up there for too long so I was thinking about replacing the material with a non irritating material. However its not cheap by any means just for the material and I'm concerned that even if I do change the insulation the fibres are still going to be in the air.

Should this task be tackled by the DIYer in the first place if the material is that much of a health risk.

Please help!
